Beach Day at the Island via Canoe

Yes­ter­day, Lily and I took our canoe out on its first voy­age of 2026. Yep, late in the sea­son. We made the one-and-a-half-hour pad­dle from our pre­ferred spot just east of Cher­ry Beach, by the Toron­to Wind­surf­ing Club, to the south­ern part of The Moor­ing Wall near Han­lan’s Point. The light on the way there was­n’t great, and the beach was packed and windy, so I only took pho­tos on our equal­ly long return. It was a great way to spend a Sat­ur­day. We’re con­stant­ly mes­mer­ized by the charm and quaint­ness of the Toron­to Islands in the sum­mer.
